[[project: what does it look like when we eat together? what does it feel like? what is exchanged? how do we grow? why do kids need it? i’d love it if you sent a photo or a few words (or both) to ckann29@gmail.com]]
I could tell you to: “eat food, not food products.” But more than that, I believe this: Everyone deserves to have the choice. And just a bit more than that, I know this to be true: Right now, we don’t all have the choice.
Blighted neighborhoods need community gardens, small farms need us as customers, children in school cafeterias need real food for lunch, our pots and pans and colanders and whisks need our rusty hands on them, cooking, chopping, thinking, baking again.
This site orbits around ways to re-secure our broken food system: news articles, kitchen trials, tomato seeds, astilbe plants, tunes for dancing.
Vegetable gardens can save the world if we let them. xx
